This public park was established in 1920 and lies on 284 acres of natural beauty that you can enjoy all year. On October 23rd, enjoy a haunted barn, pumpkin carving contest, pumpkin patch, trunk or treating, and a costume contest! After an evening of fun, you certainly won’t leave with an empty stomach, finish off your night with the chili cookoff. This park has all of your favorite fall activities in one place so make sure to mark your calendars.

Celestial Origins Show

If you are looking for an activity that is out of this world check out the Charles W. Brown Planetarium in Muncie, Indiana. The Celestial Origins show teaches you the history of Halloween and how it fits into the seasons as a “cross-quarter day”. Explore the night sky, and discover the planets, constellations, and stars that will be shining on Halloween night. This unique and free Fall activity is a perfect blend of education and fun! There are shows on October 15th, 16th, 29th, and 30th, and all are open and free to the public!

They are open Sunday through Friday (closed on Saturday) from 12 pm-6 pm for endless fun. This is truly a fall time must for everyone.

Jacob’s Family Orchard

Jacobs’ Family Orchard is the perfect fall activity that is equally as fun for adults and children. Stop by any day of the weekend for a wagon ride through the apple trees and see how they pick the apples. For the kids, there is a large play area with all kinds of farm-themed equipment they can climb, crawl, and slide on! Try the 12 different October seasonal apples and decide which is your favorite. Try one of their famous orchard donuts that are apple cinnamon-flavored and don’t forget to pick your own pumpkin from their patch.
