Beautiful fall view down the road in Indiana.

Indiana is a whole lot more than cornfields and racing. Beautiful summer sunsets, colorful leaves, glistening snow, and bright, colorful flowers blooming are all part of the beauty living in the Hoosier state. With a reasonable cost of living in most cities across the state, Indiana could be the perfect place for you to call home. Here are three reasons you should move to Indiana!

Low Cost of Living

You can find a decent family home anywhere in the state for a significantly lower price than, for example, in California. And the same goes for other expenses. Compared to the rest of the United States, Indiana ranks 12th for the lowest cost of living.

Friendly People

The Hoosier state is full of people who know good manners. If you greet a stranger in the street, expect to get a greet back, and when you enter the building, people will usually hold the door for you. According to The 50 Friendliest States In America by Big Seven Travel, “Locals in Indiana pride themselves on their exceptional ‘Hoosier hospitality,’ going above and beyond for other people. People here are good-natured, with a good sense of humor. So much more than just a “fly over” state. It will hold a special place in your heart after only one visit.”

Low Crime Rate

There are few cities in the state that have high crime. We do have some cities that are fighting a hire crime rate, but, overall, the crime rate in Indiana is relatively low. According to USA Today, Indiana is ranked 22/50 for the lowest crime rate.
